The benefits of dance

CBC's The Passionate Eye has a new documentary this week on aging. One of the aspects they looked at was the effect of dancing on the elderly. The study found that dancing was better at building muscle strength than a conventional gym workout.

The study was small, but continues a trend in research that shows that dancing is not just fun -- it is really good for us too.

Welcome to our 3rd Season of Dance!

Our first class will be held on Monday, September 10th at the Anglican Church. We will be reviewing a number of our dances from the past two years.

Our other September classes will be held on September 18th and September 25th. These classes will be in the Anglican Church basement as well.

Our schedule for the rest of the season is still to be confirmed.
